I tuned in to ATC for a while this evening and it was exceptionally busy with the departures of the Japanese and Indian 777’s and various executive jets, the arrival of the Australian A330 and Cypriot A319 and Police P68 as well as the usual BA’s, Jet2’s, easyJet’s, Loganair’s and KLM coming or going.

Bravo to all concerned. 👏🏾
I also tuned in for a while earlier and have to agree, well done everyone at GLA.

AF1 and SAM46 left EDI Just after 10 PM, lit up like a Christmas tree and very noisy taken off to the west. There were seven other inbound planes in a holding pattern over Peebles. West jet, easyJet, klm.
As she went out over the Atlantic a C17 seems to have come up from England ahead of them
to form a transatlantic convoy. Wish them all a good flight

Heard the American pair from scenic Argyll as they passed overhead climbing through about FL18. Could see them on ADSB.

Yeah, agreed. Good to know the controllers and ground crews can all operate fully at that level of traffic. Very well done to them. Just need the powers that be to lure the traffic to the airport going forward.

I expect an uptick in flights from now until the end of the conference - there have probably been 6-8 flights a day since last Wednesday

I assume Saudi Aramco B767 today is linked to COP26
