I know of an airport 4 miles from where I live that would love to host a couple of these aircraft, wouldn't they? :D

It was a stretch of the imagination having a series of Malta Air 737's at FRA, having them at GLA next might just be pushing it a bit too far ..

Why a stretch in FRA? German, French and Italian at least Ryanair bases are MAY.

The joke was the contextual misnomer of putting "Malta Air" on the side of Ryanair jets. Maybe some of them have been to somewhere near Valetta now, most of them were Milan based to begin with.

Malta Air and Buzz (ex-Ryanair Sun) were set up to create even lower cost units than mainline, the crews being on contracts of 20-25% less pay than FR. Ryanair UK is slightly different, as it is required for flights between the UK and non-EU destinations, and the CAA have insisted that at least 50% of that capacity is provided by a UK AOC holding carrier, additional capacity can be hired in from FR. RK now operates from Stansted and Manchester.

A number of Maxes intended for Ryanair, and fully painted, have been re-directed to Malta Air, and deployed to the Italian bases.

Cheap flights indeed. Even cheaper working practices, zero loyalty save to themselves and masters at ensuring everyone else picks up the costs otherwise we upsticks,

I’ve said it many times before, cheap costs. 98% per cent of the time its the workforce who suffer!
