LTN Question

Post by GeorgeNTravels »

Hi folks, need some help with something and hoping somebody will have some experience with it.

I have a friend travelling to GLA via LTN with Wizz Air and easyJet and has left 2hr 15mins between arrival and departure. They will more than likely be travelling with hold bags and will be entering the UK on a Students Visa.

Given the current mess we have seen with airports this summer are they likely to make the connection, or should I expect a call saying they have missed the last GLA flight?

I have only travelled through LTN in February and it was fine but things have changed since then.

Any help would be appreciated.

Firstly what nationality passport does your friend have? 2:15 sounds okay but I’d have left extra time for delay, baggage collection then check in again. Check in normally closes departure -40 minutes so using this timetable for instance -

1500 arrive LTN clear immigration then check in then security again GLA departure 1740 check in closes 1700 and gate closes -20 at 1720. Sounds okay in an ideal world but delays can and do occur: this mornings’s WIzz arrived 25 minutes late. I’d give 12 minutes for disembarkation, 30 minutes to clear immigration and collect bags then another 15 to arrive at check in then get through security again. It might be a good idea to purchases Fast Track; Luton can be notoriously slow.

Hope this feedback is helpful.

Cheers atuk, its a Bulgarian passport so I don't see it being a massive issue. They are arriving the 13th at 16.45 and leaving to GLA at 1900. I will pass on the idea of priority as I did not think to suggest this.
