IAG Acquisitions

Post by Gla1 »

Incase anyone is interested in reading this article from yesterday. Speculates that IAG are on the acquisition path again with TAP and Easyjet in their sights.
Tap I would think is risky and possibly wouldn’t go through considering their dominance in Spain and the possible Air Europa acquisition.
Easyjet does to me seem logical! Shut down BA short haul at Gatwick and merge Vueling into the easyjet brand. IAG in the past has seemed to leave their brands alone to operate themselves so I wouldn’t have too many concerns for GLA. However more Ryanair flying really is needed again.

Good read. Thanks for posting Gla1. Interesting if Ireland does raise the taxes enough to make FR suddenly up sticks. Would all their aircraft suddenly be registered LX-.

Let’s hope IAG pick up TAP to compliment IB/BA/EI operations. Not so sure about EZY though. Won’t that flush the 737MAX order down the pan? You don’t need NEOs and MAX in the same fleet; mind you AA already have that.
