Murcia International - 2 weekly
Palma de Mallorca - 7 weekly
Tenerife - 6 weekly

2 based aircraft and the rest operated by visiting aircraft.
If only we could finally prize these two aircraft out of PIK and up the road to GLA. That's a great starting point for underpinning some rapid future growth.

I agree that Murcia service would be unique to GLA as well

PIK bid would not have been value for the taxpayer.

“MINISTERS have decided not to recoup any of the £50 million it is owed in loans and interest from the state-controlled Prestwick Airport to allow it to remain in existence – leading to concern it has sanctioned unlawful state aid, The Herald on Sunday can reveal.

Transport Scotland has provided written confirmation that it will not seek repayment of all or part of the loan facility or the interest until at least March 31, 2023 – which directors say will enable the Ayrshire airport to “continue in operational existence for at least the next 12 months”.”

Yes, I'm afraid the standard of journalism in The Herald has gone downhill rapidly . . . and worst still it is posted under the banner of 'Exclusive'

The accounts have been in the public domain for weeks and the letter of support from Transport Scotland is just to satisfy the financial reporting requirements of 'going concern'

Nobody in the general press nor parliament asks the searching question of how dependent is PIK financially on military traffic

Has anyone heard of any proposals for returning the three ex Norwegian 787-8 aircraft to service ? (LN-LNA/B/H). Its fast approaching three years since their arrival which at the time was billed as engine works related to the widely publicised Trent 1000 fan blade issues. The subsequent pandemic and Norwegian's withdrawal from the long haul market and fleet has left them languishing, still redundant.

I don't believe they're slated as going to the new Norse Atlantic operation and appear to be still engineless and only active occasionally for tug training opportunities for PIK ground crew. Are their engines still on site, or elsewhere, or are those now attached to other in service aircraft ?

At which point do these 'bad Dreamliners' become candidates for 'recycling' ?

Anyone know what’s the script with the 2 TUI 737’s into PIK today, a G-reg one from DBV and a D-reg one from DUS?

G-TAWO has been stuck in DBV since last Thursday so I imagine some maintenance must be needed.
