I’ve spent a great morning shift on TOM238 787 service to BGI on behalf of P&O cruises and exclusive to Hays Travel.
Lovely passengers and colleagues to work with. The four of us had a ball with plaudits to boot.

I was surprised to see this on flight radar. So I asked the question on the Edinburgh Forum if it was a new service, I was told it was just a 1 off.

Very surprised they did not use Glasgow.

They do it often from GLA. In this case Hays must have wanted to arrange a holiday for their Edinburgh clients.

It’s wasn’t solely Edinburgh clients. Hays had travel managers in attendance from a couple of agencies, one in South Lanarkshire. Customers were from quite a few different hometowns.

Glasgow had the same flight, operated on 31st Jan and Hays teams and management were in attendance.

Hays Travel’s cruise development executive, Emma Craggs, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to bring this unique offer of our own direct flights to Barbados from Glasgow Airport for the first time ever, along with the amazing experience of a fabulous P&O Cruises Caribbean cruise.”

“We have four more sunshine cruise escapes departing from Newcastle, Belfast, Edinburgh and Bristol over the next few weeks.

“All these sailings are fully booked, but we have another five for next winter from regional airports which are selling exceptionally fast, as well as another six for 2025.”

Seems like they are doing it from a number of markets.

As is always the case with all flights. There’s nothing much to read into this was the gist of my point.

FRA reduces by 84 flights equals one daily departure for a twelve week period; high summer reduction?

MUC reduction 125 flights over a twenty six week season. I don’t know how frequent EDI-MUC is; at present I see it twice weekly.
