AFAIK EK do these flights from MXP and ATH and they used to do it at HAM too, so why not GLA? I'd be pretty surprised if GLA management haven't asked about it. EK clearly have a very popular product at GLA, so if they were to offer it across the Atlantic then that would probably do well. Also, given half the pax are through pax, GLA would surely only be responsible for filling half the seats.

I think it would require some structural/logistical alterations at GLA, but surely not impossible.

UA second daily service from Newark starts tonight. Both flights today are full with a standby list for each. The capacity increase was clearly merited.

Both Newark - Edinburgh flights this evening are booked full. It would appear UA decision to go double daily at EDI is justified.

UA only showing an standby list for the first departure and that there are still seats available on the second departure.

Clutching at straws sir. When I checked there was a standby list. Info is updated regularly as I’m sure you know. You claimed there was availability. I’ve provided info that shows otherwise.
