With the Elizabeth Line now running through to Heathrow plus increases in low-cost flights from EDI to the London area alongside LUMO and LNER running multiple hourly services I wouldn't be surprised if more LCY cuts come.southflyer wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2023 10:12 pmNot return, that would be a cut of 6x weekly.FlyGLA wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2023 9:44 pm More cuts. This time British Airways. Reducing EDI-LCY with 3x weekly return journeys cut from the coming winter.

Closed 0930L
Don't know the reason . . . but the runway is frequently needing repairs
DL208 holding for 20 minutes then diverting to GLA
UPDATE : EDI reopening by 0945L

Re: Edinburgh
EDI closed 1700L
Runway surface breaking up again
First diversions to GLA en route - RYR ex Cork, easyJet ex Athens
Opened 1715L so only two diversions
Interestingly, EDI don't declare they have been diverted to GLA on Live Arrivals page . . . 'On Approach' and 'Expected' respectively
Re: Edinburgh
I spoke to an EDI colleague on Monday. Seemingly Sunday’s closure arose from an fire alarm in the Control Tower.
Re: Edinburgh
Here we go again the moles are back at EDI making holes in the runway.
Ua161 holding over Falkirk plus some flights holding over the borders
At least 2 diversions into Gla
