Not return, that would be a cut of 6x weekly.
With the Elizabeth Line now running through to Heathrow plus increases in low-cost flights from EDI to the London area alongside LUMO and LNER running multiple hourly services I wouldn't be surprised if more LCY cuts come.

Closed 0930L

Don't know the reason . . . but the runway is frequently needing repairs

DL208 holding for 20 minutes then diverting to GLA

UPDATE : EDI reopening by 0945L

EDI closed 1700L

Runway surface breaking up again

First diversions to GLA en route - RYR ex Cork, easyJet ex Athens

Opened 1715L so only two diversions

Interestingly, EDI don't declare they have been diverted to GLA on Live Arrivals page . . . 'On Approach' and 'Expected' respectively

I spoke to an EDI colleague on Monday. Seemingly Sunday’s closure arose from an fire alarm in the Control Tower.

7 A/C base for LS from EDI S24.
Read the press release carefully - clearly written by the PR Team from Edinburgh Airport eg 'their most popular destinations'

Not normally in this thread but that's commendable.
