Swissport

Post by atuk »

Swissport have confirmed today that 4,556 employees out of a workforce of just over 8,500 will be made redundant. This represents around 53% of the total workforce and will affect all staff at all U.K. stations.

Sad news indeed, there will be no quick bounce recovery from this!

According to the tweet below Swissport is "proposing to withdraw from Aberdeen and Southampton airports and is “reviewing the viability” of its operations at Bristol, Liverpool, Glasgow, Jersey and Gatwick."

Would that only leave Menzies, Dnata and Stobart aviation services then?

These are all Easyjet bases. If Swissport are looking at the viability of these bases, have they then lost the Easyjet contract?

DHL handle Easyjet at LGW, hence why I didn’t include them.

Do Dnata provide full handling at GLA or is it just the cargo shed they run for Emirates?

Thanks for providing an update on the easyJet contract.

Do Jet 2 handle themselves below wing?
