I think they're looking at some sort of bankruptcy protection now.

I for 1 hope not. Flew with them to/from EDI (OSL & ARN) on a few occasions and service/flight/comfort etc was very good. Shame GLA never attracted or was attracted by them and shame that they look to be dooomed (doooooomed I say Cpt Mainwaring)

Do Norwegian own any aircraft anymore or is it all in the hands of Chinese banks now ? What becomes of the Prestwick 'fleet' when the plug gets pulled ?

I guess they will be re-possessed by the lenders who have the security over each airframe, who will probably then have to clear any outstanding debts attached to it. This could be an interesting test of the 2nd hand market for Dreamliners, since these would be the first to come into the market.

Are dropping all long haul flying to concentrate on a much reduced short haul network to stem losses and aid recovery. Not good news for the1,100 plus losing their jobs but creates many more Gatwick slots.
Given BA may not actually snap them due to their much reduced LGW presence, EZY further expansion on the way?

Does this mean the Prestwick refugees can have their engines reattached and flown away soon ?
