Prestwick Airport Sale
Prestwick Airport Sale
At last some details have emerged regarding the much heralded and closely guarded sale of Scotland’s most prestigious asset.
A spokesperson was interviewed on Radio Scotland at 0757 this morning claiming the purchaser is a European Consortium operating as a joint venture between Fraport, Schipol and Vinci called Fraschipinci.
A representative of the Consortium, Herr Schottenpreis, claimed there are ample opportunities to develop the site as a Europort catering for high end, high value items with a short shelf life such as meat, fish, shellfish and animal products required by the food production industry.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson hailed the sale as the greatest achievement since the formation of Caledonian MacBrayne in 1969 and said that they are well used to dealing with pig at Porkwick, sorry, Prestwick.
Meanwhile Herr Schottenpreis stated they had secured a strategic asset at an extremely competitive price in fact they are paying us £15 million to assume the operation.
Transport Scotland said the sale made sense now that they have nationalised the rail industry saying “its time to make fresh tracks”

Still awaiting any post-election announcement . . . but PIK will be very profitable this week, just now Voyager in the circuit, Voyager just about to land after air-to-air refuelling sortie off the west coast, 4 x Falcon 20s at the holding point, etc

There’s been tonnes of military movements lately. Busiest runway in Scotland of late, no doubt.
