Suspending sunshine routes & starting some new routes… No fall out, just excellent business sense with staff being retained (if they’re able to be flexible?) … and of course the promise of restart out with winter into 2023. No fall out thereawwdabaaby wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 5:11 pm Wizz Air already to mothball their Cardiff Base over winter

Yup - and the seemingly perennially failing airport that is CWL gets 2 new routes to MXP and OTP that GLA apparently can't.

Ryanair offering 'rescue fares' on the suspended Wizz Air Routes.
With the exception of Faro, they are all from Bristol!!!

Cardiff base to completely close. They dont appear to be a very well run airline, probably best GLA keeps away from them in the future,
Re: Wizz Air already fallen out with Cardiff
Personally I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole. Too many aircraft, too few routes ; cue multiple bases will become overstretched just like DY and many others before them.
Presently they are the darling of the CAA- not!
Re: Wizz Air already fallen out with Cardiff
Don’t think their loss from GLA worked out a bad thing in the end! Much rather see FR and EZY expand at GlA or ofcourse any other airline interested.
