easyJet accelerate A319 removal

Post by GeorgeNTravels »

easyJet has announced that their 95 A319's will be phased out from the fleet within the next 4 years. The official reason given is that easyJet needs larger aircraft to make flying from slot-constrained airports such as AMS and LGW more efficient due to the ability to carry more passengers per aircraft.

It will have an impact on GLA as we currently have 2 based A319's

They certainly are, the interiors are still original and definitely well past their best. The final batch are slightly better, with improved overhead panels. As far as I can see, they have orders and options for 315 A20N/A21N, so plenty of growth potential to come.
