We are very keen for a flight to India. It is the highest demand country without a flight to Scotland
Is that really true? Is there more demand to India than Australia, South Africa, and Thailand.
I suspect there are a whole range of countries at GLA that have higher demand, but are unserved.
It's notable that MAN, with surely far more people of Indian heritage in its catchment, doesn't have a direct route, so it seems unlikely either GLA or EDI will see an Indian route any time soon.

With a direct quote coming from within AGS I guess we all have to just hope this isn’t them just talking the talk again and that they’re actively going about doing something making it happen.

Qatar and Emirates both say the Indian market alone from the UK has huge potential. With Air India under new management and big investment already under way, it’s more than possible a direct route would be feasible. A couple of other Indian carriers could be persuaded to take a punt, if the incentives are good enough.

Should be an easy win for EDI then...
