Jet2 launching Verona for S24
Re: jet2 launch verona
Brilliant route. May well encourage us to go back to Lake Garda, which is quite simply, stunning.
Re: jet2 launch verona

Welcome news!
Competition at GLA between Jet2 and TUI seems to be hotting up which can only be good for passengers and ultimately GLA. Here we have Jet2 launching Verona which is currently served by TUI and we'll see TUI relaunch Naples which is currently served by Jet2.
I wonder if there are any gaps in either airlines summer '24 schedule for anything else to be added. I'm sure our resident flight schedule analyst will know?

I'm positive all space in the TUI schedule is used so can't see anything else being added unless we get a 5th aircraftFlyGLA wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 11:06 pm Welcome news!

Re: jet2 launch verona
Interesting. I didn't know Jet2 were increasing the base to 8 aircraft. That's great news!
Thanks Awwdabaaby. It looks like we have availability for an additional 4 weekly departures. Any of these slots could be used to launch new once-weekly routes, increase frequency on existing routes or they keep these gaps in the schedule for maintenance.
Using these slots I'd personally like to see Dubrovnik relaunched as well as new once weekly flights added to Almeria, Santorini and Skiathos or Mykonos. That's just my wishlist though.

Glaring gaps that remain are NCE and VCE. JTR or JSI would be a welcome addition.
Re: jet2 launch verona
Good news and even better if Inghams take seats as this would mean a return to Glasgow after many years.
Now all we need is TUI to reintroduce HER and Jet2 to add Salzburg or Innsbruck.
