Does anyone remember Euroscot Express they flew from Bournemouth to EDI and GLA in the late nineties using BAC 1-11s. Engines were modified to reduce the noise and meet the current at that time regs.. thought I had a photo but can’t find it. Must admit I thought that it was the early noughties that they were on the go.

My experience of 1-11's is a few flights - can't recall specifics. However in the late 60's on a holiday to Bournemouth , I got to visit the 1-11 factory at Hurn. Saw the production line from start to finish. This included a number of planes destined for Austal Airlines in Argentina.

I certainly do remember these. I’m sure that the 1-11s were ex BEA/BA sold to European Air Charter (EAF).

Yesterday saw me board the successor service on Ryanair: meet the inbound STN ( on time for a change) then help board outbound BOH! Off stand five minutes early on a 25 minute spin! Not bad, eh?

Yes, I thought that too. The only BCal services I remember from LHR were 707 cargo flights.

London. Might not have been Heathrow. Such things worry me little.
