This is true but must be said that they have an ever expanding fleet a huge new transfer hub, big ambitions and deep pockets. An investor document tends to be fairly suggestive of plans with at least some substance.

Think TK where considering IST-GLA before covid so I assume and hopefully have a plan and something comes into fruitiation

I see The Herald has picked up on the Turkish Airlines future plans story, followed by its sister publications.

The quote from GLA is the usual “we talk to airlines all the time about bringing in new routes , etc, etc”

It would seem like a departure for them - they don't do routings like this on other transatlantics from IST, do they? It seems surprising that they'd seriously consider such a unique service pattern via GLA, an airport that they've never served before.

If GLA management can get an airline to consider changing their ops significantly to accomodate the US route aspirations of an airport that's not even in their network, then you have wonder why they can't persuade the multiple airlines that do operate UK-USA to come to GLA.
