Funny one.Hialflyer wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 10:08 pm The Scot Gov havent checked on anyone arrivng into the country so far. so how they reckon they will suddenly be able to check people arriving into England is a joke.
Also the number of covid tests they are carrying out in Scotland is low, they really dont have a clue how many cases there are.
This is bad news for the aviation industry in Scotland, basically shutting off their biggest market, just as a points scoring excersise.

Things are sounding grim at Emirates right now. A380 crews being particularly affected by lay offs, and reports of suicides emerging. What this means for GLA remains to be seen.

That’s one if my worries Allen. Once the redundancies hit, they’ll hit hard. More so where more than one person in a single household is impacted. Grim doesn’t begin to state how brutal this is going to be.Allen McL wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 12:06 am Things are sounding grim at Emirates right now. We are on a cliff edge and this time, unlike any previous company collapse, there is nowhere to go.

AGS statistics for March, April & May are still missing from latest CAA Airport Data tables
Indeed AGS is the only missing submission for March

No Jet2 departures today combined with no easyJet or TUI Airways highlights the fragility of the restart to the outbound holiday market
Indeed only one non UK/Ireland flight today (Ryanair from/to Charleroi)
Increasingly I doubt that we will see the planned schedule increases over the next few months - and if they do happen loads & yields will be very low / negative (most easyJet single domestic fares over the next 2-3 months are below £25)

The Scottish Government are set to announce that the 14-day quarantine requirement for people arriving from Spain is to be lifted. No further details as yet but good news all round.

Not looking good for Spain (Or at least certain parts) continuing to be on the green list of places to go in terms of the U.K. government for England anyway.
Awkward moment for the Scottish government to have suddenly do a u turn despite the infection rate over there in certain areas being worse than what it was initially when the decision wasn’t to allow Spain onto the list. The mind boggles!
