Jet2 appear to have postponed the restart of their Scottish flights to Spain for obvious reasons. The restart date currently looks to be Saturday 25th July but this will obviously be dependent on Scottish Government decisions. We had hoped to book GLA-ACE for the 16th but will now very likely not be going abroad this summer.

We're in a similar position, in which a day out in Largs classified as a 'foreign holiday' by virtue of leaving East Renfrewshire and going to North Ayrshire now that we can officially travel more than 5 miles for leisure purposes.

Not much different there other than the amusement rides on the promenade being closed and Nardinis operating a one way, one-out/one-in queuing system. Social distancing all but impossible on the promenade so we ate our fish and chips from The Fish Works in the car. Far and away best chippy in Largs, worth the trip if you've never been.

If we'd closed our eyes and ignored the brisk seabreeze it almost felt like Benidorm. Same accents anyway.

I received an email today from Jet2 advising that our flight to HER on 17 September is going ahead.

I’ve had no such email about my flight to IBZ On the 6th of September, though the Sunday flight has been cancelled right up until the 23rd of August so far. Do you guys think it likely they might extend those cancellations?
Obviously I know nobody can answer me directly here but it’s hard to know what to do in these times atm. Jet2’s flight prices have also went through the roof if I was to change to next year, coupled with he fact they’re still adding their admin fee unlike EasyJet and Ryanair.

Can they legally do that though...bit like buying a new car and paying for it then when you go to take it away they turn round and say "sorry but the manufacturer has put his prices up so we have to pass it on to you before you can drive your car away"????

Or am I being a bit naive?

No. As if they’d do that.
