There’s a Global Airlines A380 heading into PIK just now from storage in Mojave via Montreal. I’d never heard of this airline. It turns out to be an English start up intending to fly a fleet of A380’s from LGW to New York and Los Angeles.

Yes I read about this earlier. A well beaten track to bankruptcy or Chapter 11. And that’s before the carnage which may be Norse later this year?

The founder was adamant that flights would commence in April 2024, despite not having LGW or JFK slots, a CAA operating licence or approval from USDOT

It’s amazing they got to this stage, having an A380, of all things, delivered.
