August 2024 CAA Stats
Re: August 2024 CAA Stats
The only question is will Transat keep GLA and EDI or do a United, WestJet, Air Canada, Virgin, Delta and American and shift everything east.
Re: August 2024 CAA Stats
Air Transat don’t fly to EGPH.

Re: August 2024 CAA Stats
GLA's market share of direct Canada traffic from Central Scotland is down to 22% in Augustsouthflyer wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 7:54 pm It will be interesting to see how Scotland-Canada pans out over the next couple of years with so much competiton. Much of TS pax are low-yield VFR traffic and Canadian Affair bookings and I suspect it's largely an outbound market nowadays (careful). WestJet serving ***-YYC is an interesting one given that there has always been a large dispora of connecting pax to YYC and YVR. AC and WS also offer far more connections than TS can.
Re: August 2024 CAA Stats
Retrofitting but could still launch flights to EDI.... Rather than adding a second flight to an already established route. Hmm.awwdabaaby wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 7:39 pmIt's almost as if they are retrofitting their fleet which is leaving them short and Air Transat used A330s last year.....oh wait...that's what's happening
Re: August 2024 CAA Stats
Geez TS don't fly to edi so kinda a obsolete conversation
Re: August 2024 CAA Stats
Recently, the same could have been said for Air Canada, American Airlines, Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, and WestJet. GLA once held nearly 100% of the Scotland-Canada market, but as noted earlier, this has now dropped to just 22%. If I'm not mistaken, Air Transat and Icelandair are now the only airlines operating at GLA without also serving EDI, and there isn’t a single international destination exclusive to GLA. Unless AGS go, It's a matter of time.
Re: August 2024 CAA Stats
You are mistaken: Wizzair don't serve EDI.

Get all that but we are thinking of problems and issues that haven't occurredFlyGLA wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 9:08 amRecently, the same could have been said for Air Canada, American Airlines, Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, and WestJet.
