All things music...

Post by bill »

We did have a thread on music way back in time and thought it was high time we had another. So, feel free to enlighten us with what's tickling your fancy at the moment be it albums (is that still a thing?), concerts or just what you're watching on YouTube etc...
For some strange reason (don't ask me why), I've got right into Wet Leg this year and love watching their live performances on YouTube. Rockpalast in Cologne 2022 being a particular highlight.

Kylie and I fell out a few years ago when she last played in Scotland. I'm pretty sure she said she'd meet me for a couple of pints in the Red Fox (hotel in Bishopton) but she went to Mar Hall instead and never showed up. I'm pretty sure she said the Red Fox.

Excuse me?

I had the pleasure of mixing with The Libertines and access all over The Barras a few weeks ago. I now write gig photo reviews for magazines which gets me press passes and my latest one can be seen here
https://www.pcnmagazine.uk/the-libertin ... on-a-high/

And I’m producing videos for my pals Local Authority which is another string to my bow.

And I’m planning to produce EPK’s (electronic press kits) for some of the bands I know so they can promote themselves to festivals, radio shows, etc.

I’m going to photograph a young English mod band called Sharp Class at Bannermans on Friday and my punk mates Control at The Dublin Castle in Camden Town at the end of the month.

In terms of who I listen to it’s a big mixed bag but I’d recommend folks check out The Royston Club, Dream Wife, Newdad, Shambolics, Resister, Wrest, Skerryvore, The Laurettes, The Last Dinner Party, First Aid Kit, Face Up, The Ramstampits and Local Authority.

Anyone else into music like Bill and I?

Listen to Bob Dylan’s Infidels album. It has Mark Knopfler on lead guitar and his trademark style is all over it.
