LIS apparently slot related but remains on sale from the big airport.Iain wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 9:44 am When RAK was announced the airport's press release appeared to suggest it was a winter seasonal route. In contrast PRG was announced as year round - Indeed, there is a press release on the airport website from the first flight on 7 Nov that again states that it's year round, so it surely must still waiting to be released for summer.
We aready seem to have lost MRS and NQY, Although they both only operated in peak summer Jul+Aug, so they probably wouldn't create big enough holes in the schedule needed to operate these new flights.
LIS also still not available - given the loads and fares that it appeared to be commanding, I find it baffling if it's been pulled. In terms of scheduling though I think this was operated by away based, so wouldn't free up any slots on the based aircraft.

Your obsession with that West Lothian facility is overbearing. Of course you could have said LIS continues from 135 other cities or half a dozen UK airports but had to get in the one you always mention.egpffqtv wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 12:48 pmLIS apparently slot related but remains on sale from the big airport.Iain wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 9:44 am When RAK was announced the airport's press release appeared to suggest it was a winter seasonal route. My obsession is trying to get this business back to GLA, the airport on my doorstep, the airport I continue to support despite EDI taking all our business away.

Moving away from this infighting here!
Very much remaining positive this could lead to aircraft 7 then but we shall wait and see. In terms of routes though it is a shame because AYT for example is already well served by Jet2, Correndon and ofcourse soon to be Sunexpress. I think easyjet might find themselves squeezed on this one.

Mate, I pay for and run this group and I’m always trying to keep you as a member for your valued contribution and because despite everything we are all on the same side, looking for GLA to fulfill its full intention for the city and region. I can handle myself but the trolling others can’t be allowed, nor can lawlessness, where individuals think it’s their playground, otherwise everyone would leave.egpffqtv wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 1:46 pmSeems to be one of the moderators who is doing the infighting.Gla1 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 1:45 pm Moving away from this infighting here!

Trolling? People on here really do need to put on their big boy pants and take things on the chin.
We are where we are with GLA/AGS, hopefully the new German owners will change things.
I will not stop calling out GLA/AGS where necessary, and I will certainly not stop taking about out biggest competitor. You just cannot be having that level of censorship on here.

This is a schedule post, I don't work my arse off ro have 3 pages worth of narking so take it elsewhere
To clarify GLA-LIS was EJU who i believe had slot restrictions at LIS so as we were one of the last to be added, we suffered, am I happy about it? B***h No but that's life
They have an EZY service (you see the difference?, if you can't make an appointment at specsavers)
To clarify GLA-LIS was EJU who i believe had slot restrictions at LIS so as we were one of the last to be added, we suffered, am I happy about it? B***h No but that's life

Re: Easyjet Summer 2025 as of 18th Nov 2024
That's quite an irrelevant comparison you've made. While it's true that GLA was served by EJU and EDI by EZY, the EZY service from EDI could have been reduced by two weekly flights. This would free up two weekly slots, allowing EJU to continue operating LIS-GLA. The "last in, last out" principle doesn't apply here, this isn't a nightclub door police we're talking about.awwdabaaby wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 4:19 pm This is a schedule post, I don't work my arse off ro have 3 pages worth of narking so take it elsewhere

It's pretty clear that the two "new" EZY routes for summer 25 come at the cost of three existing routes. Lisbon dropped, peak season Marseille and Newquay replaced by peak season Reus and Antalya. Same old easyJet.
Re: Easyjet Summer 2025 as of 18th Nov 2024
The press release says REU will operate year round and AYT "throughout the summer", so in terms of numbers of flights and pax numbers that's quite an improvement on MRS and NQY which only operated for 8 or 9 weeks at peak summer. We should also remember that EZY have cut all their NQY routes, so it's probably not a GLA specific issue.
As is already noted, LIS is an away based route, so whether or not it operates, it's not being cut to make way for REU or AYT.
It's very frustrating that EZY won't do more city routes to bring in inbound pax, but beggars can't be choosers and if they have successful holiday routes then they might bring in more city routes to fill in gaps.
