That would explain the Cat 9 fire cover NOTAM request then ?

There is a Notam out indicating RFFS Cat9 on Monday 3 August and Tuesday 4 August between 17:30 and 19:15 instead of the present norm. of Cat7.
As Cat9 is usual for the Emirates when they operate, suggests wide body movements.

What does all this mean to the ordinary bloke. Notam, RFFS, Cat 9, Cat 7 ..... ffs ?

NOTAM = Notice to Airmen (maybe it should be NOTAP now)
RFFS = Rescue and Fire Fighting Services (the CAT refers to number of appliances, firecrew etc required based on the size of an aircraft)

G-TGPG, 2Excel executive 737-300 now on approach from Doncaster. Anyone got the gen on why ? Last one in took RFC out to France.
