Thanks to BA Dreamliner issues our KUL-LHR flight has been pulled. The replacement is now QR: KUL-DOH-EDI. I’ve never visited DOH, has anyone else been there?
I've been through a few times. Last was a week ago coming home from a break in Qatar.

It's a lovely airport although at busy times there can be pinch points.

I really hope you're in J, if you've been rebooked by BA you'll be eligible to use the two lovely lounges Al Mourjan and Al Mourjan garden. Both are spectacular. Failing that your BA status will get you into the OW lounges which are ok but nothing like the main lounges.

PS, you've got to get a pic of the bear :)

It’s J class all the way. I’m hoping that by the end of this trip I’ll reach Gold status, fingers crossed.

Hope all good have a great Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

First booking for the year, BA GLA-LHR-ORD and return in July, for a pilgrimage to the EAA Airventure show at Oshkosh. WT+ on the transatlantic bits, thanks to upgrade with Avios, and Club Europe on the domestics included.

Making sure I use the 2025 thread

GLA-AMS-VIE KL
BUD-AMS-GLA KL

Start of April.
2 possibly 3 new countries for me if I decided to go via Slovakia on my way to BUD.
The BUD - AMS is scheduled for one of KL's A321neos

GLA-STN-GLA 20th/21st Feb. Convention time. The GLA part may change to EDI though due timings. EZY have two flights now. Leaving GLA at 7.10am which is way too early and then 7.15pm which is way too late. Coming home on the Friday is worse. Departure at 9.05am which will be a mad rush to make, then 9.05pm. Disgraceful.EDI has 4 flights down and a choice of 5 back on the Friday. Just another reminder of what we're up against.
Need FR back on this route pronto.

EDIT:
Feel I should add, this is not an EDI fan-boy post. It's a joint GLA/EZY bashing post. :D

As a regular user of the BRS-GLA route, I can definitely sympathise with this. It feels like easyJet handed over the GLA scheduling to one of the schedulers' toddlers!

The last time I flew BRS-EDI, it was clear I wasn’t the only one headed to Glasgow. It really makes you wonder, are any routes from EDI sustained by passengers genuinely travelling to or from Edinburgh? Honestly, they should just rename EDI as a Glasgow airport!

No competition on STN from GLA so they can put on a poor schedule. Meanwhile FR have several flights per day on EDI-STN, so EZY need to have a more competitive schedule. Iirc EDI-STN is doing over 50k pax/month whereas GLA-STN was less than 20k.

They've also messed up BHX schedules and SOU isn't even daily.
