The Glasgow Airport team is ready to Go For It at Routes Europe 2025 next week.

Meet us at stand B70 for a chat and to find out what Scotland’s largest city has to offer.

Much more professional engagement rather than the usual stuff they’ve become used to posting.

Excellent. I'm glad to see GLA are actually attending, that in itself is a nice change.

I'm not sure they've failed to attend routes Europe before, although iirc they have previously skipped Routes Asia whilst EDI, MAN and BHX all attended.

There was interview with one of the route development people on YouTube after last year's event and he mentioned it was the first time they'd taken a stand at the event. I'm glad to see they're doing it again (although it doesn't appear to have made much dfference if the paucity of new routes for S25 are any indicator!).

Mind they told us before that those events don’t do much that isn’t already happening because they talk to all the relevant airlines all the time.

If that's the case it makes you wonder why every other airport and airline bother going. I think it was more the case that AGS didn't do much.

I wonder who they could meet that they don’t already know. But yes, you’ve got to be present as your rivals are.

Well, they've bought a ticket, they might just win the raffle.

That was what the previous incumbents said - The current crop appear to be sending a significant team including the CEO and, as mentioned already, are apparently coughing up for their own stand:

Hopefully these renewed efforts will bear fruit in time.

The new CEO of AGS has now posted on LinkedIn - AFAIK already 100% more than his predecessor did. Looks like he means business. Glimmer of hope, at last!

So, it's been a few years since I last joined a Routes conference but pleased to say that I will be at Routes Europe with my new colleagues next week in Seville. Thanks to new ownership, the future is bright for Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton Airports so come and say Hola! to us at the "smoothie" laden Glasgow (largest city in Scotland btw) Airport stand. The team and I will be delighted to showcase the amazing opportunities about our 3 UK catchment areas and more importantly how we will support your airline in being a part of the next exciting phase of growth at our airports.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Team AGS.

Although we've essentially secured the square root of hee-haw so far, I like this mob 100% more than the previous incumbents already. Something about them screams..professionals. That's a great starting point. :D
