Here’s a load of good info from EDI about the effect of Covid on them. Much of this will be similar for other airports as they work in the same industry:

The last page is very interesting and a clear pitch for the rebuilding of traffic

> Outbound market remained resilient due to strong and wealthy catchment area
> High proportion of inelastic business passengers
> Leisure growth bolstered by strong inbound travel and the increasing popularity of Scotland as a destination
Re: Edinburgh
Of course all of that last page is outdated now as there is virtually no demand for anything currently.Bearsden wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 3:43 pmInteresting document - although there will have been changes as the crisis has extended and deepenedClive wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 1:25 pm Here’s a load of good info from EDI about the effect of Covid on them. Re: Edinburgh
BA departure on 14th November EDI-LGW cancelled. Just been advised tonight and confirmed a rebooking to LHR instead.
Looks like BA may be leaving Gatwick for good. No point retaining long haul from there if there are no feeder flights.

Much of the long haul is O&D anyway, the only flights with decent frequency are GLA/EDI/AMS/JER.
