Re: Emirates
Going to give them a call myself after lunch if no official cancellation notice received by then. Looking increasingly likely that flights are being pulled. My same ‘rumour’ source just had his Oct 9th GLA - DXB flight re-routed via LHR 2hrs longer journey time £402.00 cheaper him, wife + two kids.... So not looking good for me.Ekally1 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 10:01 am My good friend from gla who works at EK cargo says he has never heard this rumour and take it as made up ... unless he had missed a memo ... they have tonnes of freight to move ex gla and would cause alot of inconvenience if this was true ... He has not heard anything saying gla is axed over winter ...
Re: Emirates
Emirates chat saying flight goes ahead as planned. No cancellations forecast at this time ..... Hmmm strange one.Paris wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 11:04 amEkally1 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 10:01 am My good friend from gla who works at EK cargo says he has never heard this rumour and take it as made up ... unless he had missed a memo ... they have tonnes of freight to move ex gla and would cause alot of inconvenience if this was true ... Re: Emirates
Done a dummy booking and still available
Re: Emirates
Also done another dummy booking for 9th oct and is very much bookable ... i am supposed to be going to JNB mid oct via DXB ... i ain't going as SA is shut to tourists however flight is still active as i technically haven't cancelled as yet as i was waiting and still showing ok and not dropped ...
Re: Emirates
Earlier rumour now fake news.. Travel firm Destination2 who my source was booked with gave out wrong info ... I’m booked flight only directly with EK and as I posted. October flights run as (reduced) service states.Paris wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 11:55 amEmirates chat saying flight goes ahead as planned. No cancellations forecast at this time .....
