Miinisters stand to lose most of the £120m of taxpayers money it has used to bail out three struggling Scottish companies - as they confirmed that they have had no financial return from their huge loan bailout.

The loans were used to prop up Prestwick Airport, Ferguson Marine Engineering Ltd, the ailing shipbuilder at the centre of Scotland's ferry building fiasco and Burntisland Fabrications (Bifab), the struggling Fife manufacturer at the centre of a wind farm jobs row.

The Scottish Government is unable to declare any returns from investment by way of interest payments or dividends from the multiple loans given to all three.

An already inbound Cargolux 747-8F declared an emergency today, citing a hydraulic system failure and a suspect (unsteerable) nose gear. After a very long and slow approach it landed safely, shut down and was inspected on the runway before being towed off.

Parallels with GLA and pax ops at PIK here. Quite clearly they are not commercially viable and never have been in this century.

How many if any FR aircraft based at PIK for Winter 2020/21 ... only 5 routes showing and approx (maybe) 10 out and 10 back flights per week, with FR saying today that cuts planned for winter (Compared to W19/20) are now to be 60% instead of the planned 50%. I’m thinking maybe the passenger terminal will be open for around 3hrs per day, maybe no hrs on one or two days?

All the cladding on the new Ryanair/PAM hanger seems to be complete, meanwhile the six Norwegian Dreamliners are now back North side, although one was in Chevron today.
