I am hearing EK EDI and NCL are under review and may not return .. however never say never not set in stone ...

Noticed that EK flight changed to B777 through to end November

With BA also rumoured to be dropping NCL, the place would be a ghost town, with only T3, LM, AF, KL, LH & EW, LS, TUI, FR and the occasional EIR and EZY flights

According to Airlineroute yesterday EDI still down to start daily wef 01 Dec 2020 and NEW to start 5 / week wef 02 Dec 2020 . . . . the catchphrase of Victor Meldrew comes to mind!

I suspect more changes for EDI to come.

There is no way (in my opinion) that EDI is starting on 1/12 daily, when larger or more-established EK markets will be operating then at lower frequencies. For example, BRU, CPH, DUS five-weekly, BHX and GLA four-weekly, BUD three-weekly.

In fact, I'd be surprised if actually Emirates restart at EDI (my opinion, no knowledge either way). Especially as the article below mentions reductions in UK staff numbers as they have to "reduce the scale of the operation":
