Vs offered me a GLA-MCO rebook this afternoon ...
I suspect it won't have been updated in the reservations system yet. Unless it was to become operated by a MAN based A330. But with all the -200s going as well, they'll need the -300s to operate their scheduled flights from MAN.
Perhaps next year DL will upgrade the JFK flight to a 767 if it returns to help cover lost capacity

The A330-200's are being phased out at end of lease in 2022.
Also a post on Anet suggests that VS have made no decisions yet on GLA and BFS seasonal ops.
It’s now year round. No reason why it won’t continue as planned as an offshoot of their MAN services. It would depend on whether money is made by doing so. I’d wager that it very much stands among their’s and Virgin Holiday’s top performing routes.
They wouldn't make it year round a few days ago then just drop it surely ?? They must if been planning the restructure well in advance so surely the air ops planners must of been made privy of pending operations changes as big as that ..

Exactly, someone didn't wake up this morning and decide "oh we'll close the Gatwick Base", this was obviously planned in advance

Best keep an eye on it for the next few weeks, but my biggest worry is that Virgin Holidays know people will travel down to Manchester.
Virgin Holidays will be key to what happens to the Glasgow service. Initially I think we might resume with an A332, but what happens for 2021 is pure guesswork at the moment. One thing for sure, our stored 744 will be departing on a one way trip to Kemble or St. Athan (other scrappies are available).
