No not the ATC one, the 131ft high advertising tower with the huge screen on it to show adverts, that's been built next to the White Cart Viaduct on airport land.
I watched the workers putting up a decorative polished steel cladding with a nice Paisley Pattern effect, through the week there and the job is now finally complete. They are just waiting for the first advertising customer to place their order and it's good to go.

The great tower of GLA.
Re: The great tower of GLA.
One giant sized distraction for drivers at quite a tricky part of road. Let's see how many accidents it causes once it's operational.Allen McL wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 7:24 pm No not the ATC one, the 131ft high advertising tower with the huge screen on it to show adverts, that's been built next to the White Cart Viaduct on airport land.

Re: The great tower of GLA.
Quite possibly but there are many distractions on our roads already. I think the "it will causes accidents" theory is a little too easy to roll out. Let's see how it goes...
Re: The great tower of GLA.
Indeed, but the viaduct can be quite sporty at times anyway, as cars appear from ramps with very little warning and the lane changing is like the dodgems at time.
Re: The great tower of GLA.
I think part of the reson for that is they dont teach learner drivers much about motorways. My grandson thinks that cars on the motorway should slow down, speed up, or change lanes to make way from a car entering the motorway..... sigh!

Saw this today for the first time. Do you think it will read Nicola Sturgeon encourages you to fly from Glasgow?

Hopefully, because Dewar must be getting on her proverbials.

In that case hopefully she’ll listen to Derek Provan and meet with him and his management team and understand exactly how dire everything is and how much the aviation industry is perched on a precipice.
