LS S22

Post by will1983 »

Early days, but LS have put their S22 schedule on sale:-

https://www.jet2.com/News/Summer_22_is_now_on_sale/

It looks like we have up to 80 weekly flights for S22 peak-season. With 26 destinations it looks like we've lost a few from S21 and EDI have more peak-season weekly flights.

Does anyone know the based-aircraft for S22 on this schedule?

I haven't had time to do 2022 yet as had 2 assessments due at the same time, I think its either 6 or 7 from the quick look I had

Six aircraft can allow up to 84 departures weekly, so that would suggest 6 is the number. However, we may see some slots with 7 departures, which could point to some slack in the programme to allow some expansion up to 98 departures. I suspect they may hold back some capacity in the initial release, then put additional capacity if/where it is needed.

We’re one of the smallest bases by S22. That’s disappointing.

Also disappointing that the 4 city break destinations are not returning.

Are people just jumping to conclusions in relation to the city breaks, have Jet2 actually said the words "these won't be returning"

A quick check of other bases show that these destinations are only up to end of April, so unless they plan to pull the plug on them all, can we wait for actual confirmation

Krakow, Prague and Rome only have schedules loaded till the end of April 2022 for ALL bases. Might be case of see what the situation looks like in a few months and return it to it's normal schedule or keep it in winter schedule.

More peak season flights added for S22, with up to 95 weekly flights, which fits into 7 a/c base.

Extremely misleading saing the city breaks operate between April and October, when hey ake a 2-3 month break in the middle. Previously year round routes, so decreasing capacty to these destinations.
