Yes. Historically YYC was served by Martinair Holland: KLM have never been very strong in Canada and code sharing probably gives better frequency and aircraft size. I read that WS benefit with six European routes ex AMS so looks like a win, win for both companies.

KL where strong as i thought in canada ... flying to Edmonton , calgary , vancouver and toronto ... unless i am wrong

Yes they serve these routes but frequency wasn’t high and don’t know what they use now but it used to be Combi 747s on some routes. Perhaps WS can add additional frequency and capacity and feed KL to Europe over AMS.
Are you seeing an uplift in inter continental travel? I’m rebooked for my deferred Asian trip next February but still not convinced it will go ahead as planned.

I am booked with TAP to go to YYZ in nov ... canada opening up on sept 9th ... booked WS ftom YYZ to YVR and back from YYC to YYZ ... holefully goes ahead

That sounds good ekally. Will that be on an A330 neo? If all goes well for us we shall be on Qr for the first time flying back from KUL.
