I've been sitting on this in the hopes it wasn't true but it VS are indeed shifting, that leaves Glasgow with no flights to the US AT ALL, with the exception of the charter flights with TUI, as United have no flights to New York listed

Delta fly GLA-JFK though, unless they are cutting that too?
No idea. Was EDI not year round or scheduled to go year round when the pandemic hit, with GLA being limited seasonal service?

EDI would have been two daily flights during peak summer to BOS and JFK with a winter frequency of daily to five times weekly JFK only. GLA had a summer only JFK but that’s now dead.
I suspect the plan for VS/DL is to replicate Manchester, with a VS base operating all the routes for both carriers under codeshares. A couple of A330s should do the trick.
Next up I would speculate could be an Aer Lingus base, again following the Manchester model, to replace AA and utilise a couple of A321neos.
