EZY359C from BRS had one loop around Lanark, headed over for a 05 approach and now in a loop north of Kilmarnock while the BA shuttle 6F just sails straight past him and onto finals. Crazy goings on to match the crazy weather.

BUT SHT6F has just broken off approach - might be switching to 23

SHT6F never made it onto finals. Heading towards Port Glasgow now and climbing whilst EZY359C continues his loops.

Heavy duty thunder and lighting strikes around the airport at the minute right enough.
Looks like they're keeping everything well away from the east and southern approaches. Sky looks like it's been coloured in with a black ink marker!

Think you're correct Bearsden. SHT6F now heading over the river towards Dumbarton, probably positioning for finals on 23 now.
EZY359C now promptly following.

Looking at the lighting strike maps it would seem that as SHT6F was starting finals on 05 there were lightning strikes from the threshold of 05 southwest through Ferguslie Park, Linwood etc... As I type there's another. Back to RWY23 we go then.

Anyone watching the antics of G-SIRS Cessna 560 on the radar sites?
Could I suggest someone checking the effects of wind turbines on radar.
