Not to mention the many more who lost their jobs in both EDI and ABZ. Most of us would be Menzies or Swissport employees but I suspect many at Swissport GLA will have suffered from TCX, BE demise plus the change of contract from Swissport to Menzies for UA and LH.

Re: Edinburgh
Iirc vueling operated for I think one summer about 2016 or 2017 and then dropped it. If it didn't work then against AF, EZY and HV then I'm not sure why it should work now, especially with FR also in on the mix (although HV are not showing any EDI-ORY flights on their site at the moment).
Wrt to USA flights from EDI for S22, it looks crazy to me!. With both DL flights upgraded to 763 and AA PHL also upgraded to a 788 it looks like they have significantly more US capacity than they did in S19 (ie in the last year before COVID). Either there is going to have to be a very very strong recovery by next summer and lots of GLA catchment pax are going to fly from Edinburgh - or otherwise I think a lot people got to lose money! Let's remember it wasn't that long ago that DY couldn't make big increases in US capacity work and that was with low fares/costs and before COVID existed!
On the other hand if that capacity is justified and it's successful then it demonstrates that COVID and demand from that are having very little to no impact on US flight demand and thus provide little to no excuse for GLA losing - and failing to replace - all its scheduled US flights.

Re: Edinburgh
I believe the reason they are using 763 and 787 is a lack of 757s
They are still waiting delivery for their A321LR at that point I believe they would revert to the 321
