Re: United Airlines 2022
It would be shame if it was just a resumption of previously operated routes, especially as they are willing to give away free flights! Assuming they aren't included, I can't see anything more that could be added from EDI. IAH/DEN/SFO/LAX are a bit far fetched from Scotland.
Re: United Airlines 2022
Yep, and I think there’s going to be 3 routes from LAX and 3 from ORD in the announcement. Hence my guess above.Allen McL wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 7:23 pm Here's the shot of the backpack.

Re: United Airlines 2022
The tease clearly says NEW routes - but then you have to take the American misuse of the language into account. But then recent announcements from the eastern part of the country have touted restarts as new..........southflyer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 7:41 pm It would be shame if it was just a resumption of previously operated routes, especially as they are willing to give away free flights! Some of the speculation on here and more especially on a.net is far fetched at best. Given that UA absolutely need the 757s on domestic (they need the lie flat seats to compete on transcons) until MAX 10s appear in 2023 at earliest then they are in short supply. XLRs are not due till 2024. The "small" widebodies that are next on the pecking order are likely to burn cash on Scottish routes.

Re: United Airlines 2022
We really need somebody for NYC, there isn't enough capacity with connections through LHR,DUB, AMS, FRA to adequately handle the number of passengers we had in 2019.

You'd need to be a Philadelphia lawyer to work those clues out
Re: United Airlines 2022
ORD/IAD/EWR-EDI all confirmed as returning next year
Re: United Airlines 2022
So, where are we with UA then? They coming to GLA or not?
