There are rumours that they are in difficulties. There is a possibility that some of their soon to be delivered MAXes are being redirected to Flyr.
Ah didn't know that, hopefully they stay, or another airline decides to step in and cover it.

They have flights Dec-Mar so seems unusual if they planned to drop it pre-covid.

Just checked the app, that's all flights ditched as no dates are showing.

As far as I’m aware TK have been once weekly from EDI-IST on Mondays. A DLM service was also being added but this has been deferred to S22. Now that Turkey is available I’d expect the frequency to increase. They only ever operated double daily for a single summer season; the rest being 10 weekly where some days had two services like Qatar.

Back to Glasgow. Nobody has mentioned Sun Express who are expanding in Europe. They would be an ideal choice and previously operated a GLA Service’s on behalf of a Thomas Cook when they were more closely aligned with Lufthansa. XQ are jointly owned by LH and TK so would be complimentary to the existing LH links.

Another possibility would be Air Dolomiti to serve MXP and Air Europa, soon to be Oneworld, to serve MAD.

Attracting these carriers would start to consolidate a base of alliance carriers; something GLA sadly lacks.

That’s what I’d be looking at closely if I were a Route Development person at GLA.
