Re: United Airlines 2022
All it was was announcing 5 new flights to LHR, resulting in 22 daily flights from the airport
Re: United Airlines 2022

Re: United Airlines 2022
United removed from the Glasgow Airport website list of Airline Operators as of 30/10/2021, and looking at the destination map New York has been removed completely, so expect Delta to come off that list as well.

Not surprised. The managed decline continues.GeorgeNTravels wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 8:04 pm United removed from the Glasgow Airport website list of Airline Operators as of 30/10/2021, and looking at the destination map New York has been removed completely, so expect Delta to come off that list as well.

Re: United Airlines 2022
Given UA's move to a more premium-heavy product, with the advent of their new Premium Economy seating, I'm not sure how that will work in GLA. The A321 layouts have not yet been released, but will feature Polaris Business Class with lie-flats, Premium Economy using Domestic First style 2+2 big seats, extra legroom 3+3 economy, and standard economy down the very back.Sharpal7 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 8:42 pmNot surprised. Three of the new LHR services feature the new Premium heavy 763 fleet, with only 56 standard economy, so clearly looking for those prepared to pay a bit more for extra space.

Seems to be working at EDI, since that has now become this country’s only focus for North American travel. At least now with NYC coming off GLA’s destination map we (the travelling public) know that Glasgow International Airport is no longer a gateway to USA any longer. No need for present or future speculation. The mould has been filled.PiperOne wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 9:59 pmGiven UA's move to a more premium-heavy product, with the advent of their new Premium Economy seating, I'm not sure how that will work in GLA. They still tried to claim they serve more than 100 destinations, I’ve checked it’s 81 destinations served seasonally or year round with 4 destinations with very limited flights (Kitilla, Rovaniemi, Montego Bay, Barbados)Paris wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 1:40 amSeems to be working at EDI, since that has now become this country’s only focus for North American travel.
