Glasgow airport was one such example, with Ms Dee explaining the airport “has lost all of its transatlantic routes, most of its international routes, and it's lost more than 50% of its domestic routes as a result of the pandemic.”

I think she has confused routes with frequencies in parts of this statement - GLA has not lost 50% of its domestic routes!!

GLA management better start counter-balancing that statement with whatever crumbs they can, especially 'most of its international routes' . . .

I think it's fair to say that Wikipedia does not qualify as fair commentary on anything.

She’s not confused. She’s just lying to try to make the Scottish Government look bad. And don’t The Herald just love it?

The news is not the news. People shouldn’t consume it.

100%. It can’t in all honesty be incompetence.

Well I would have thought she might have checked her facts with GLA management before speaking in a publicly broadcast meeting - we of course hope GLA management didn't give her the wording she used!

I've had a look at the various comments on this article and the Summer 2022 US flights from EDI article (see other thread) as well as Ryanair's Summer 2022 schedule from PIK and sat back with an accountant's hat on . . . quite simply how deep are AGS's pockets in £s?

The September passenger numbers haven't been published but 1.9m passengers for 2021 is quoted (the moving annual to August was 1.3m so 0.6m over 4 months including the impact of COP26)

I'll let you do the maths for a certain other airport which has published its September passenger totals
