These changes mean that EDI is now sitting at 230 FR departures, making them the second largest airline by departures behind easyJet with 247. It not just Edinburgh it is routes all over the world they have cut due to the same reason. We all know Boeing is having problems at the the moment with deliveries on the 787. Routes dropped are PHL- EDI and SNN plus LAX-HKG due to late delivery of 787s.
Regards the comments re Airbus - ask QR regards A350 groundings which produced an A330 on Wednesday due to lack of 787s operating other duties. It’s also responsible for the return of A380 to LHR and CDG on QR services. Don’t know what I’ll see on Sunday, time will tell.

I would dig deeper into the QR/Airbus spat. Its now getting pretty obvious its all about who pays for the fix. This is the same QR that is refusing to take 787s produced in CHS - not that you will see a 787 delivery till at least spring 2022.
