I am delighted to announce that Transavia have updated their schedules for next year and now have up to 5 flights a week on the route,

Good to see Monday and Friday on for the full season, that makes the whole operation much more attractive.

Latest schedule change has reduced GLA-ORY from 5x week down to 2x week (Monday and Friday). Flights now begin April 18th and run through October 28th

Looks like that's just for peak summer, as they have done with EDI in previous years (although EDI has no flights in that period).
No it’s for the routes entire operation unfortunately.

At least this separates it from Vueling, certainly a useful addition to the schedule.

Gets the foot in the door I say, and good for people looking for a weekend away in France, much cheaper than EZY as well.

So 5 weekly may have been somewhat of an illusion, with the Monday and Friday flights being added before they took down the Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday ones.

VY isn't currently bookable for summer from GLA as far as I can see - it appears to be the same for all the other UK routes they started at short notice back in November. Maybe at some complicated manoeuvres with slots at ORY?

I wonder if the recent EU statement on slot usage is being interpreted as a relaxation of use it or lose it slot restrictions. The wording was not to clear straight off the bat but thats what legal departments are for.
