Indeed Allen. That was my original stance but if you factor out FR completely, who is going to take up the reigns? It's the old adage,"keep your friends close and your enemies closer". There's usually a dearth of FR flights in and out of EDI anytime I'm on FR24.
I have no expectations of much in the way of further expansion from LS or U2 even allowing for things being 'normal' sometime soon.

Yep.All the provincial English airports seem to be gathering momentum whilst we tread water. Getting annoying now.
As an aside. UK registered Ryanair aircraft heading to STN from RBA. G-RUKB operating RK1365. Never knew they had UK registered aircraft.
Another aside, as I type there are 7 inbound flights to Scottish airports. 5 heading to EDI and 2 to PIK. Just saying.

Re: Ryanair Expansion
Ryanair to pull out of Belfast Intl from October. This means they will not operate from Northern Ireland at all, given the recent announcement they will pull out of Belfast City next month, Derry flights already stopped

Now a contraction. The 5-aircraft Frankfurt base is to close 31st March, citing increased charges from April. The base is operated by Malta Air, who will re-deploy the 5 aircraft elsewhere.
