I’m in Tenerife now & the resorts are busting at the seams with punters from everywhere n anywhere. Flew with Squeezy jet on Saturday, flight like the destination, full to the gunnels.

I'm on Gran Canaria just now. Flight was 90% full and everywhere seems pretty busy with tourists. I have to say although I'm here just now it's the first time for many many years. I do get frustrated with the West of Scotland's obsession with the Canaries I feel our lack of willingness to travel to new places very much limits our options from GLA. We seem so entrenched in our ways that airlines aren't willing to try anything new.

One other observation from the flight home today. Jet2 are very much the dominant UK holiday airline. 8 aircraft (7x 738 1x A321) on the ground at LPA this afternoon.

I noticed that at BRS at the start of the month, even though it is a new base for them they had plenty of aircraft there that were visible from the second you landed

In other Jet2 news they have added another 6 A321NEO's for a total of 57. I wonder how many will make their way to GLA.... They would be ideal for the runs down to the Canaries and Turkey, high capacity, high efficiency.
