8 new routes apparently - with 2 additional based aircraft

Which clearly establishes EDI as their number 3 UK base, behind Stansted and Manchester, it was level with Luton.

Yes I noticed that on Chroma. One of the C3 was also meant to position to GLA but plans changed at the last minute.

2 x USAF KC10s diverted to EDI tonight due crosswinds at PIK.

Strange that space was found to park them till Sunday but 3 biz had to reposition to GLA earlier in the day, presumably due to lack of parking space.

And I assume difficult to find local accommodation for the crew

But perhaps proactive and £ driven . . . Ops told by CEO find a way!

Of course forcing the biz to reposition is a £ gain for EDI as they will reposition back - two sets of landing fees

UA arrived back in EDI today after a 2 year absence. Aircraft there for 24 hours before heading back to EWR with a full load.

Wonder if this move is to pull premium passengers away from WestJet making it harder for WS to compete with them.
