Re: Feb 22 Passenger Stats
To save me looking it up, what was the Feb 2019 figure? I'm lethargic tonight due to a 21 hour working day yesterday into today

So approximately 39% down according to my schoolboy arithmetic.

That sounds about right for me, which on the grand scheme of things could have been much worse.Clive wrote: ↑Fri Mar 25, 2022 8:31 pmSo approximately 39% down according to my schoolboy arithmetic.

Yes, that’s what I was thinking.GeorgeNTravels wrote: ↑Fri Mar 25, 2022 8:51 pmThat sounds about right for me, which on the grand scheme of things could have been much worse.
I know from my own pov that I haven’t taken a holiday abroad until now because I didn’t much fancy holidaying with Covid measures. Not because I feared getting it but because it would only be half the fun.
I was looking at New York, preferably with Icelandair, as I’ve time off in April. Nothing cheap - we’re talking over £800 with any airline, and the USA still requires acceptable pre departure antigen tests. Canada lift restrictions next week and Air Transat are offering Toronto for around £450 . Now I see Icelandair have a sale to the USA for flights from 1 May I could get to NYC for £379 return so I might wait until then.
I was even looking at Emirates to Dubai and Jet2 to Gran Canaria or anything else I could find but prices are astronomical for what would only be 3 night short break. Hotel prices are through the roof too.
Basically what I’m saying is it’s not easy finding anything from GLA right now so I’m surprised February was only 39% down on pre-pandemic numbers.

Re: Feb 22 Passenger Stats
What roughly does that make Dubai's average load factor over the month?

Re: Feb 22 Passenger Stats
652 pax per day on average meaning 326 pax each way.
777 can hold maximum of 364 pax in a 3 class layout, so assuming they send the densest capacity variant then a load factor of 89%
If that is wrong please correct me.

Thanks George, That's mighty impressive under the circumstances. Dubai seems to perform consistently and has done since day 1.
