IMHO it would have been better to have a white body, yellow tail, blue Condor logo and titles and use these stripes as a colour flash beside the boarding doors with a strap line “colour your life with Condor” or something like that.

Sixty - six years of history, heritage and tradition junked for a dogs breakfast which probably costs a king’s ransom and will bring little or no value to the brand.

My first reaction was this is an April fool. Sadly it’s April 5th, not 1st.

That was my (April fool) reaction too atuk. We could all do with some colour in our world...so good on them.

Well time for some German names for these colours: green (grun- Gurkin) gherkin; yellow (gelb - senf) mustard; red (rot curry wurst) Currywurst favourite fast food of Berlin; beige (brun - kartoffel potato) blue (Blau Mittelmeer) Mediterranean Sea.

It make me think of Bob Ayling (ailing Bob) whose sixty million pound rebrand of World Tails was a famous flop.

Germans are traditionalists: who remembers the U turn forced on Thomas Cook by the German public of “Thomas Cook powered by Condor”back to Condor with the logo back on the tail replacing the Thomas Cook globe.

I hope that Herr Raif Teckentrup doesn’t have his coat on a shaky peg over this and that the revamp costs nothing like the overpaid, overhyped totally meaningless World Tails.

I saw the blue one on a 753 in Palma. It looked like a St Johnstone scarf! Mrs C said a sock!
