Excluding the domestic routes already announced obviously.
The underlying message is the one highlighted under another forum header - easyJet expects to fly around 30% of the planned capacity flown in Q4 2019 so by simple mathematics we might get 2 or 3 rather than 6 based aircraft
Yes, to a point.

The magical 25 minute turnaround is almost certainly not going to happen, as many airlines will be implementing more extensive cleaning regimes in between flights. So I think your simple maths is about right in the context of 2-3 aircrafts' worth of flying, but not specifically 2-3 aircraft. What I suspect you will find is that the airframes and human resource get worked a lot less intensively than before.

I see there's some sort of plan afoot now to mothball airbridge usage, for social distancing purposes. Maybe all those jet 2 branded air stairs that generally congregate on the south west corner of the international ramp will see better employment ?

Before Covid, easyJet used the following system:
East Pier - Stairs only
Central Pier 23/24,25,26 - Airbridge only I believe on domestic deps and arr (Intl Arr rear stairs bused to West Pier)
West Pier - Airbridge and rear stairs for boarding and disembarking.

Jet2 stairs can't be used as Swissport staff are not trained to use to them only Menzies staff are and they had to be trained on how to use them. It may seem stupid as the stairs probably all operate very similar if not the same way but health and safety comes in and would cause a headache if it caused any damage or injuries.

Before flybe wen't bust, easyJet were in talks with Menzies in regards to them talking over the ground handling, I'm not how far they got but now with flybe going easyJet must be trying to get a cheaper deal, we'll see if get anywhere.

Jet2 stairs will only be used for Jet2 flights.

It was only a short operation anyway (end of June- end of August) and as most routes will not fully operate until 1st August, was the most logical, plus dependant on travel restrictions too

Opportunity is there for Glasgow - if management are willing to take it.

It's not just a matter of will, they have to have the means. In early March, after Flybe's collapse, but before the worst effects of Covid-19 were manifest, the article in the link below quoted the Managing Director of SOU saying "It is so significant across the AGS group that our financial position is very threatened."

Matters will have undoubtedly worsened since then. Therefore how much scope would the management of GLA have to make attractive offers to airlines?

Worth noting that Easyjet are planning a fleet reduction of over 30 units on the coming year, per this Anna.Aero report.

They have also announced increases at Luton, with a handful of new routes, and expanded frequencies on others, totalling 71 departures per week, to counter the growth of Wizz. So there are going to be competitive pressures within the airline for the allocation of aircraft.

I'm under the belieft that circa. 50 A319s were due to be heading to United in the next year or so

Certainly United did a firm purchase of 20, may well have added more to that later. However, will these still be needed post-virus? They haven't yet completed the refurbishment of all the ex-Chinese and Turkish A319s previously purchased.
