Do we think they'd come back?

Re: PIA rumoured new UK destination
It'll either be GLA or LBA this one I suspect. Leeds has the bigger Pakistani population, so I suspect it will win out.
Re: PIA rumoured new UK destination
Anything in Scotland will be at EDI. Guaranteed. AGS won't even be aware that PK are even looking at a new UK route.
Re: PIA rumoured new UK destination
Well to be fair, if you blinked you'd have missed them, they got banned from EU airspace did they not, or was that just their A310's ? I remember those interesting ethnic tail designs though.

Thing is, even if PIA do decide to operate to GLA, just like the last time they operated here, Emirates has their target market sown up.

It should be noted that when PK do return to the UK, its under Jordan Aviation, I think their own aircraft are still banned.
I think it will be Leeds personally

Yes probably Leeds - 2011 census says around 125k people of Pakistan heritage in Leeds and Bradford v about 22.5k in Glasgow. Note only about 6k in Edinburgh, so if they end up there it's a travesty!
Nevertheless, LBA has a relatively short runway and there always seems to be murmurs about whether it's OK for widebody long haul ops? Jordan don't seem to have and NEOs or MAXs so any narrow body would surely have to stop enroute.

Not sure if this is related, seen on twitter today from a journalist. Seems to suggest faisalabad to MAN and GLA.

Found this in wiki about LYP
Notice the word capital
In 2005, PIA launched direct flights from the capital city of Scotland, Glasgow to LYP with Airbus A310 aircraft.
